Один из вариантов "исходной" новости:Компании General Motors и Hewlett-Packard сегодня распространили заявление, согласно которому последняя переведет в штат GM 3000 работников в рамках стратегии GM по отказу от аутсорсинга и внедрению собственной стратегии обслуживания ИТ-потребностей. Ранее в GM заявляли, что обслуживание ИТ-инфраструктуры собственными силами позволит компании не только сэкономить, но даст больше контроля.
Ранее именно HP была основным ИТ-подрядчиком General Motoros и обслуживала ее оборудование, программные системы и данные. Теперь эти же работники, по существу и так работавшие на GM, переходят в ее штат.
Финансовые подробности транзакции стороны не разглашают.
Кроме перевода работников HP, GM ранее заявляла, что намерена создать штат из 10 000 ИТ-работников, открыть несколько технологических центров и отказаться от ряда других услуг сторонних ИТ-подрядчиков.

General Motors is following through on a previous promise to shift away from IT outsourcing, and to move thousands of tech jobs back inside the company.
Over the summer, GM CIO Randy Mott vowed that over the next 3-5 years, the company will move the company’s IT budget from 90% outsourced to 90% in house. Today, the company unveiled a plan to shift 3,000 employees now working on GM related projects at Hewlett-Packard onto the GM payroll.
“These agreements with HP will enable us to accelerate the progress of our IT transformation by delivering increased innovation and speed of delivery to our GM business partners, and reduce the cost of ongoing IT operations,” Mott said in a statement. “Transforming our internal IT operations will give us the resources, tools and flexibility we need to provide better services and products to our global GM customers.”
GM noted that it recently announced new IT innovation centers in Austin, Texas and Warren, Michigan and that two more centers are yet to be announced.
