не я один такой ( HD4850 vertical bars problem: NOT SOLVED! (Edited: Problem still appears)
Hellow again... I posted in another thread about a problem I am having with my Sapphire HD4850: getting freezes with a screen full of vertical bars, in many modern games.
Well, I did contact Sapphire support here in Germany, but they are a little slow to respond. They finally gave me an RMA number to return the card, but in the meantime, I was able to solve the issue myself!
My card, SKU 21132-00 came with the old 11.003 BIOS on it. After searching the Internet I came across BIOS 11.004 found on newer cards. I took the risk and tested that: Problem solved! I have been trying to reproduce my old problem a week now and nothing!
I would suggest that Sapphire posts an official BIOS update for the early HD4850 cards, as I have seen this issue on a number of boards and there is no other solution to it. It appears to be similar to the problem HD4870 owners were facing until the newer BIOS was released.
PS: I don't know why, but there are appear to be to Device IDs for the HD4850: 9440 and 9442. Original BIOS reported the card as 9440, newer as 9442.0
жене надоело слушать шум турбины ну я и перешил!все время шил из доса а тут повелся короче гемор сам подкинул себе.КАРТА РАБОТАЛА НЕДЕЛЮ купил новый корпус перекинул все и борода карта не стартует давай шить не хочет слил с неё биос а он весит 0 килобайт! тут я и офигел! Вывод прошивка из под винды гемор!
